StarNow, an entertainment industry job platform, has been acquired by New York-based rival Backstage.Set up in 2004 by ex-Trade Me employees Cameron Mehlhopt, Jamie Howell, and Nigel Stanford, StarNow grew to become a go-to service for actors, models, and others to find and audition for roles in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.It currently employs 20 people in its Wellington office who will join Backstage.“We are delighted to announce this deal with Backstage.
