NZ dollar edges higher after night of mixed data, surge in dairy prices

By Jonathan Underhill Nov. 2 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand edged up against the greenback after a busy night of mixed economic data and a surge in prices in the latest GlobalDairyTrade auction. Traders will now turn their attention to New Zealand third-quarter labour market figures this morning and the looming US presidential elections. The kiwi rose to 71.72 US cents as at 8:30am in Wellington from 71.50 cents late yesterday. The trade-weighted index was little changed at 77.07 from  77.05.
