NZ dollar gains after Fed minutes show concern at greenback strength

By Jonathan Underhill Feb. 23 (BusinessDesk) - The New Zealand dollar rose after minutes of the US Federal Reserve's latest meeting showed concern that a strong greenback could hurt the US economy while some comments appeared to downplay any near-term inflation risks. The kiwi rose to 71.79 US cents as at 8am in Wellington from 71.64 cents late yesterday. The trade-weighted index edged up to 78.15 from 78.07.
