NZ dollar steady, markets looking ahead to next week's US data

By Rebecca Howard June 23 (BusinessDesk) -  The New Zealand dollar was largely unchanged, holding the gains it made when the central bank held rates steady Thursday and - contrary to expectations - was relatively sanguine about the kiwi's strength. The kiwi was trading at 72.67 as at 5pm from 72.63 US cents as at 8am in Wellington from 72.52 cents late yesterday. The trade-weighted index rose to 78.44 from 78.25.
