NZ residential building consents buoyed by strong Auckland market in August

Seasonally adjusted consents rose 7.8 percent to 2,713 last month, reversing an 11 percent decline in July, Stats NZ said. New house permits also increased for the first time in three months, edging up 0.2 percent 1,667.
