The New Zealand funds management sector is on the up.According to just-published Reserve Bank of NZ (RBNZ) figures, total funds under management across the industry rose 3.3% over the three months to June 30 to a record high of $341 billion to cap off “the seventh consecutive quarter of growth”. Over the last five years to the end of June, the local funds market, as measured by the RBNZ, has expanded by more than 60%, adding approximately $130b to the pool.The central bank figures exclude the $85b NZ Superannuation Fund and the...
