Education is one of my bugbears, as I consider it a harbinger of living standards.Lots of encouraging changes in education are finally taking place after years of stagnancy and can-kicking around education’s direction and some poor policy such as the creation of Te Pūkenga. The drums are now beating louder and louder for changes to the National Certificate of Education Achievement (NCEA), the main assessment tool for secondary school students. Announcements are being delayed for various reasons, but appear to be around the corner.Ref...
