With current covid-related coverage focused on the protest at Parliament, it’s almost possible to forget that the first uncontrolled outbreak of covid-19 in the New Zealand community is underway.However, on Sunday afternoon, daily new cases cracked 2,500 – the first time more than 2,000 cases had been notified. There are 100 people hospitalised, although none are in intensive care units.
