Business leaders are welcoming the reopening of the skilled migrant category of the residence visa programme and a proposal to remove the current cap on applications.Business NZ chief executive Kirk Hope was “heartened” by the reopening of the skilled migrant residence programme which he said would provide some assistance to businesses seeking staff from overseas.The announcement came as the latest statistics showed a net migration loss of 11,000 for the year to August, compared to a net loss of 10,100 for the year to August 2021.Ho...
