Government agency Callaghan Innovation seeks private sector investment to fund new biotechnology facilities it wants to build at its Gracefield Innovation Quarter in Lower Hutt.It comes after the government cancelled plans announced in Budget 2023 for a Wellington “Science City”, which would have included a collaborative hub for innovation based at Gracefield.Recent media reports have also raised concerns about Gracefield's ageing facilities and safety concerns over chemical storage.Callaghan released a request for information (...
