The Government is facing significant cost-escalation pressures and delays in delivering investment projects, according to data it released on Thursday.A June Cabinet paper based on data for the March 2024 quarter said net cost escalations across the portfolio totalled $1.2 billion and more than 50 investments had reported delivery delays of over 20% of the initial delivery timeframe.The Government is also upping the pressure on agencies to provide Treasury with better data on their investment proposals.It has been an apparent bugbear of Treasur...
