With a rapidly ageing population, KiwiSaver providers say the latest retirement recommendations are “tinkering at the edges” of a struggling system.The Retirement Commission undertakes a triennial review of retirement income policies and provides the Government with advice on how these policies are performing and what changes may be needed.Its Review of Retirement Income Policies 2025 made 12 recommendations to the Government, with seven of them targeting KiwiSaver.
