Bay of Plenty hapū are taking judicial review action against Port of Tauranga and its bid to approve a major wharf extension through the fast-track process.Ngāti Kuku Hapū Trust and several trustees of the Ngā Hapū o Ngā Moutere Trust initiated proceedings against the port and the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) in the High Court at Wellington in June.The port has been attempting to obtain resource consent for its Stella Passage project for several years.
