The New Zealand Defence Force refuses to say whether artillery ammunition stocks were ever allowed to run so low that the whole country was left with 50 rounds of artillery ammunition. In a statement, the NZ Defence Force (NZDF) said it was incorrect to say NZ only had 50 rounds of artillery ammunition.However, in a follow-up question about whether stocks had ever declined that low since 2021, the NZDF said it was withholding that information under the national security exemption within the Official Information Act (OIA).“The NZDF ha...
