ACT party leader David Seymour has identified three key asks of National during the coming coalition talks, and they include spending cuts. With 98.7% of votes counted on Saturday night, Seymour's ACT party had secured 9% of the vote, including the electorates of Epsom and Tāmaki, 11 seats total – one more seat than they secured in 2020.Together with the National party's 50 seats, this would be enough for a National-ACT coalition to govern in a 121-seat parliament.
