New Zealand has introduced a first tranche of sanctions targeting Russian president Vladimir Putin and 12 members of his security council.The sanctions, announced by foreign minister Nanaia Mahuta on Friday, prohibit NZ people, entities and assets from having dealings with the designated individuals and stops their boats and aircraft from entering NZ.A further 19 entities associated with the Russian war in Ukraine, including the state-backed Russian bank, Promsvyazbank, were also sanctioned.The measures were enacted under a targeted autonomous...
