Chinese firm FountainVest Partners closing in on Ziwi – report

Chinese private equity firm FountainVest Partners is nearing a deal to buy pet food company Ziwi, according to people familiar with the matter, Bloomberg reported. FountainVest plans to buy Ziwi in a deal that would value the company at about $1.5 billion, the report said. Ziwi and FountainVest Partners did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
