Premium seafood supplier Cloudy Bay Clams is facing court liquidation, but its owner vows to pay back a few hundred thousand it owes in unpaid rent.Port Marlborough New Zealand, which leases a building to the aquaculture firm, applied to liquidate the company on Nov 7.It is scheduled to be heard on Feb 2.Cloudy Bay Clams director Isaac Piper said the company was currently profitable, and he hopes to resolve the payment issue with the port before the case appears in court and thus avoid liquidation.Tough economic climatePiper – who owns th...
