The Government wants to reduce mail deliveries to two days a week in towns and cities and three days in rural areas.It also proposes cutting the number of postal outlets from 880 to 500 and delivering to community boxes for new addresses.The plans come as the Government renegotiates its deed of understanding with NZ Post, the agreement laying out the minimum levels of postal service required from the national carrier.The five-year deed came up for renewal on June 30, and at the time, Media and Communications Minister Paul Goldsmith said the pub...
