Auckland leads housing consents down with 15% drop

New residential consents in Auckland came off the boil last month with 1,202 granted, down 15% compared to January 2021.This still pushed 12-month total consents to 20,321 in the city, an all-time high.The overall number of consents were down 6.3% to 2,833 new homes in January, compared to the 3,025 residences signed off 12 months prior.
