Best property yields still in the South

Auckland may be the most active property market in the country, but Southland remains the strongest overall performer for residential property investors, with Gisborne and the West Coast also strong contenders, the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand says.The institute said capital gains in Southland had increased by 19.3 percent for the second quarter to June, when compared to the same time last year, on a $55,000 increase in the median sale price to $340,000.
