Govt fast-tracks consent for 165 new homes

The government has referred three construction projects to its fast track Resource Management Act consent approval process..The projects to be considered by a specialist panel include a development on Auckland’s Dominion Road: made up of 117 terrace houses, a supermarket, and commercial space; the Ohinewai Foam Factory in Huntly; and the development of 48 residential sections in Richmond, Tasman.“Speeding up the consenting process means that these projects have the potential to sooner deliver much needed jobs and promote regional ec...
