Restaurant Brands annual profit rises 19%, sees higher earnings this year

By Suze Metherell April 16 (BusinessDesk) - Restaurant Brands, New Zealand's largest fast-food store operator, posted a 19 percent gain in annual profit and said it expects to boost earnings again this year even as labour costs rise. Profit rose to $23.8 million in the 52 week period ended March 2, up from $20 million a year earlier, the Auckland-based company said. Sales rose 13 percent to $372.6 million while cost of sales rose 11 percent to $304.2 million. The company lifted its dividend 15 percent to 19 cents per share. Restaurant...
