Adidas goes Allbirds with debut low carbon emission shoe

Allbirds and Adidas have collaborated to release a running shoe with a drastically lower carbon footprint than the industry norm.The concept kicks are called Futurecraft Footprint and take 2.94kg of carbon per pair to manufacture. According to New Zealand-found Allbirds, a standard sneaker has a carbon footprint of 12.5kg. The shoe is the first product from a partnership with global megabrand Adidas that was announced last year.
