Kathmandu Group chief executive Xavier Simonet has resigned to become CEO of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission, Austrade.The retailer announced to the NZX that, after five-and-a-half years with the company, Simonet would leave within six months.Chair David Kirk said Kathmandu was disappointed to lose Simonet but he understood his desire to take up the senior role.“We wish him well in the important work he will undertake.”Kirk said Simonet led Kathmandu through a period of growth and re-positioning.Kathmandu purchased su...
