By cutting expenses, the online office supplier OfficeMax has boosted its profits. Project Inkquill, the parent company of three OfficeMax entities, reported annual financial statements for the year to Dec 28 to the Companies Office on Wednesday. The firm reported net profit increased 32.4% to $10.46 million despite sales declining 3.89% year-on-year to $295.77m. Gross profit was likewise down, but a drop in expenses was large enough to offset any profit losses.Employee benefits expenses were down by more than $2.5m to $51.06m.In...
