Woolworths is looking to in-house the production of its ready-meal offerings. In annual earnings reported to the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) on Wednesday, the Australian grocery chain disclosed its intention to acquire 100% of food manufacturer Beak & Johnston (B&J) New Zealand. A Woolworths spokesperson told BusinessDesk it has been a customer of B&J – which also operates in Australia – for more than 37 years.
