S and P affirms NZ's AA rating, fiscal strength offsets high private-sector debt
By Hannah Lynch Aug. 3 (BusinessDesk) - Rating agency Standard & Poor’s has affirmed New Zealand's AA rating, saying the Crown's strong balance sheet mitigates the nation's high level of private debt. New Zealand retained its AA foreign currency long-term rating and kept a stable outlook, S&P said in a statement.
