Crimson Education signed clauses to publicly list or sell the business before 2023 to get wealthy investors to back its expansion plans, documents obtained by BusinessDesk show. A 2018 version of the education company's shareholders’ agreement shows the terms under which US billionaire Julian Robertson and Hong Kong investor CTF Education Group parted with tens of millions of dollars. It also reveals some unusual clauses which insist on founder Jamie Beaton attending every board meeting, and strict restraints of trade.The ed...
