Shane Scott pleads not guilty to running $6 million Ponzi scheme

By Paul McBeth Feb. 8 (BusinessDesk) - Shane Scott, whose interim name suppression lapsed today, has pleaded not guilty in the Auckland District Court to running a $6 million Ponzi scheme.  He first appeared in court on Jan. 17 facing four charges of obtaining by deception, 23 charges of theft by a person in a special relationship, one charge of using a document with intent to defraud, and two charges of obtaining by false pretence, the Serious Fraud Office said in a statement.
