New Zealand needs to urgently improve productivity in healthcare if the system is to remain affordable in the near future, according to a US-born academic.Geoff Chase is a distinguished professor of engineering at the University of Canterbury. He was one of seven category winners at the 12th annual KiwiNet awards for science commercialisation, held in Auckland on Oct 9.
