New genetic engineering law expected by end of next year: Judith Collins

The government will enact legislation to overhaul New Zealand’s gene-editing legislation by the end of 2025, science and technology minister Judith Collins confirmed on Monday. The legislation would be ready to go before parliament by the end of this year, Collins told the second annual Life Sciences summit in Wellington.
