Auckland’s Civic Theatre has gone full glitter this month with Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the stage musical based on the Academy Award-winning film. Produced by Amici Trust and North Shore Music Theatre, and directed by James Luck, the season runs from Sept 12 to Oct 4, promising two and a half hours of sequins, disco and drag-fuelled fun.The evening begins before the curtain even rises, with a pre-show pink carpet and props for photoshoots pulling the audience into the party.
