“Plume,” said the roadside sign. Here it is, I told my companion, and we swung into the driveway. Almost immediately, I saw the rest of the sign: “villas”. No, this was not it. This was the luxury villa part of the Plume property. After a careful reverse out of the driveway and onto Matakana’s Sharp Rd – most likely named for the bends in it – we saw the next sign “Plume Restaurant” and pulled into driveway number two.
