A top American official has praised prime minister Jacinda Ardern for “understanding the moment” with her response to the war in Ukraine and outlined how the US plans to exert its influence in the Asia-Pacific region.New Zealand’s response to Ukraine so far has included $30 million of assistance for humanitarian, military, legal, and logistical needs, including money to buy weapons from the UK.
