A new scheme to shift the needle on heavy road freight emissions is all set to roll, but needs a willing organisation to operate it.The Low Emission Freight Certificate (LEFC) works as a form of emissions “insetting” where companies reduce emissions within their own value chain instead of buying carbon credits from outside.It was developed by the Sustainable Business Council (SBC) with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency (EECA) and consultancy DETA and launched at the Climate Change & Business Conference on Sept 8.'...
