While you were sleeping: Wall St renews record highs

By Margreet Dietz Nov. 22 (BusinessDesk) - Wall Street climbed to fresh record highs as better-than-expected corporate earnings such as from Medtronic bolstered optimism about the outlook for profits. In 1.29pm trading in New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed 0.8 percent, while  the Nasdaq Composite Index rallied 1 percent. In 1.14pm trading, the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index gained 0.7 percent. The S&P 500 reached a record high 2,600.11 earlier in the day, while the Nasdaq touched a new peak of 6,861.07.
