Marsdens Maritime Holdings Limited (previously known as Northland Port Corporation Limited), was formed in 1988 following deregulation of harbour boards. It is a cargo handling and related service. The business was redefined in subsequent years, including the sale of non-performing operations Marine Steel (1998), Central Cranes (1999), Northport Engineering (2000) and 50% of Sea Tow to Adsteam Marine (2000).
