PGG Wrightson

PGG Wrightson Limited (PGW) is a New Zealand based multinational formed in October 2005 through the merger of Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd and Wrightson Limited, which were themselves the result of numerous amalgamations through the years, tracing their origins to 1851 and 1841 respectively.

Its history, size and national presence make PGW one of the best-known and most respected brands in New Zealand's rural sector, as well as a market leader in many of the segments in which it operates, which span livestock, wool, grain and seed, animal nutrition, rural supplies, irrigation, insurance, real estate marketing, and farm consulting.

To service the needs of its more than 50,000 clients PGW employs around 2000 people in approximately 100 locations throughout New Zealand. Its people are key members of the rural communities in which PGW operates, and trusted partners of farmers, in many cases dating back over two, three, or more generations.
