Napier Port today announced an uplift in trading results for the third quarter compared to the first half of the financial year and the same period last year.

Revenue for the quarter rose 13.2% to $34.4 million from $30.4 million in the same period last year, with container services revenue increasing 16.6% to $22.3 million from $19.1 million.

The result from operating activities for the quarter rose 3.7% to $13.3 million from $12.8 million in the prior year period.

Underlying net profit after tax for the quarter, after adjusting for unrealised fair value movements on investment properties, increased 5.1% to $7 million from $6.7 million.

The company expects an underlying result from operating activities for the year to 30 September 2022 of between $38 million to $42 million.

Napier Port is also considering making an offer of unsecured, unsubordinated, fixed rate bonds to the NZX Debt Market of up to $100 million.
