The a2 Milk Company has announced a positive result for the first half of 2024, driven by strong execution of its growth strategy in the China market.

The company reported a 3.7% increase in revenue to $812.1 million and a 5% growth in EBITDA to $113.2m.

It also achieved a top-5 position in the China infant milk formula market and successfully launched a new GB registered China label product.

In addition, a2 Milk stabilised English label infant milk formula sales and improved its revenue growth guidance for the 2024 financial year.

The company's chief executive, David Bortolussi, highlighted the focus on the China market, which now represents about 80% of its total branded sales.

The a2 Milk Company's shares are listed on the NZX and ASX.
