Air New Zealand has reported a net profit after tax of $106 million for the first half of the 2025 financial year.
Earnings before taxation were $155m, at the upper end of the company's guidance range.
However, the airline's network capacity was down 4%, with up to five narrowbody and three widebody jets grounded due to global engine maintenance requirements.
An unimputed interim ordinary dividend of 1.25 cents per share was declared, and a share buy-back of up to $100m was announced.
Air New Zealand expects the second half of the financial year to be significantly lower than the first half, due to the impact of the grounded aircraft.
