Auckland Airport has appointed Susana Fueyo Suarez as its new Chief Infrastructure Officer.

The appointment comes as the airport undertakes its largest ever upgrade, with major projects in progress for transport, terminals, and the airfield.

Fueyo Suarez, an engineer with 25 years of experience in leadership and infrastructure projects, has previously led large-scale developments in aviation, transport infrastructure, and defence in Australia and globally.

Auckland Airport chief executive, Carrie Hurihanganui, expressed delight in welcoming Fueyo Suarez to the team, citing her expertise in infrastructure programme delivery and stakeholder management.

Fueyo Suarez's appointment followed an international recruitment search and comes after the resignation of André Lovatt.
