Bella Takiari-Brame has been appointed as a non-executive director of Accordant Group, effective from 1 January 2024.

Accordant stated that Takiari-Brame is considered an independent director according to NZX listing rules.

Takiari-Brame is a fellow chartered accountant and chartered member of the Institute of Directors.

She holds a Masters in Management Studies with distinction from Waikato University.

Takiari-Brame brings global experience in the oil and gas industry and has been involved in energy and economic development initiatives at national and regional levels.

She also holds governance roles in iwi, commercial, and crown entities, and is passionate about empowering communities through infrastructure, wellbeing, and workforce development.

Accordant's chair, Simon Bennett, expressed excitement about Takiari-Brame's appointment, describing her as a seasoned executive who will be a strong performer for the company.

In addition to the appointment, Accordant announced that Laurissa Cooney will be retiring in June 2024.

Cooney has served on the board for four years and has been praised for her contribution and passion.
