The Bankers Investment Trust PLC has reported strong performance for the half-year ended 30 April 2023, with a net asset value total return of 8.1% and a share price total return of 5.4%, outperforming the FTSE World Index total return of 3.5%.
The Company's revenue increased over the period, with corporate profits defying predictions of many commentators and holding up well, and the Company has increased its quarterly dividends quicker than expected.
A first interim dividend of 0.62p per share was paid on 31 May 2023, and a second interim dividend of 0.62p per share has been declared and will be paid on 31 August 2023.
The Board anticipates continuing the Company's track record of successive annual dividend growth.
