Chatham Commissions Scoping Study into 5 Mtpa Port Facility

Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited (CRP) has commenced a scoping study into a 5Mtpa phosphate/fertilizer export facility in the Port of Townsville.

The facility is intended to fulfil the need for a dedicated phosphate/fertilizer terminal in the port, which serves minerals from North-West and North Queensland.

The study is being undertaken by an assembled team of industry specialists, and the results are expected in July 2022.

The project is also eligible for funding from the Northern Australia Infrastructure Facility.
