Chatham Rock Phosphate Limited (TSXV: “NZP” and NZX: “CRP”) is pleased to report encouraging test results for its Dicalcium Phosphate (DCP) manufacturing project from the Korella and Korella South phosphate projects in Queensland.
Initial tests suggest, with slight modifications, low-grade phosphate from the projects are suitable for producing Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP) with European Union acceptable fluorine levels.
Future tests will focus on improving yield and minimising reagent costs to produce MCP, which is preferred for use in domestic feed ration and mineral block/lick blocks for cattle and sheep, as well as in the poultry industry.
