Claudia Batten appointed director at Michael Hill

Jewellery retailer Michael Hill has announced the appointment of Claudia Batten as a non-executive director.

Batten, an experienced entrepreneur, was a member of the founding team of Massive Incorporated and co-founded Victors & Spoils.

She has also been recognised for her work in supporting the technology and start-up scene in New Zealand.

Batten will join the company's people development and remuneration committee.

She currently serves as the chair of Serko and a director of Air New Zealand and Vista Group International.

Michael Hill operates 300 stores globally.
