Cooks Coffee Esquires-branded UK and Irish FY24 store sales are up 23.1%.

Group store sales for the 22 weeks of Cooks Coffee's financial year to Sep 1, 2024, reached $28.5 million, representing a 23.1% increase.

Sales in the UK were particularly strong, up 32.4% to $19.7m, while sales in Ireland had a more modest growth of 6.4% to $8.8m.

The NZ-headquartered company also reported an expansion in its store count, with 83 group sites in the UK and Ireland as of Sep 1, up from 75 in April.

Cooks Coffee added nine new stores during the period and expects to open more than 10 outlets before the end of the financial year.

The company's chief executive, Aiden Keegan, expressed delight with the sales growth and performance of the new stores.

The unaudited interim results for the first six-month period will be announced by Nov 30.
