David Prentice has been appointed as the chief executive of NZ Windfarms, effective immediately.
Prentice, who previously served as the chief executive of Manawa Energy, Trustpower, and Opus International Consultants, brings with him a wealth of experience in the energy sector and engineering project development.
He is also currently on the board of Northpower and Martin Jenkins, and was the chair of the Interim Committee for Climate Change.
Prentice's appointment comes as NZ Windfarms looks to the next phase of its operations, including the reconsenting of the Te Rere Hau site and the redevelopment and repowering of the site in partnership with Meridian Energy.
